It being their 30 th anniversary, Insomniac set the bar high, and it will be hard for any other fest to top it this year. Tracks like “ Bright Lights” and “ Alive” had us all zoning out and grooving.īeyond Wonderland is one of the best festivals any EDM fan can attend. First starting off light-hearted and fun and moving to a more of a darker atmosphere before bringing us back to peace. The honors to close out Beyond Wonderland went to none other than Kaskade who took the crowd on a wonderful journey. Hearing “BOOM” mixed into his rendition of Marvin Gaye’s “Grapevine” showed how effortlessly Tiesto could go from house music to trance. There was no way to squeeze into the tight space where people had been camped out most of the day. Heavyweights like Tiesto made it impossible to get under the tent with massive crowds flooding the area. The Brazilian DJ rocked a gold, shiny robe and played tracks like “Fuego,” Souja Boys’ “Superman” and other fan songs from the yesteryear. Another set that was great was seeing Alok. His expert blend of salsa soul with house-dance music was a vibe everyone could get down with regardless of the language barrier. Redtape brought the heat early on in the day by playing a slew of Latino jams from modern artists like Bad Bunny and Cardi B to classic tunes we grew up with. The crown for best stage, however, went to “Queen Domain”. He was also kind enough to bless fans by sharing some new Diplo collab tunes. Francis does a great job of knowing how to integrate and blend catchy mixed genre songs like Tame Impala’s “Let It Happen” or the vocals of System of a Down’s “BYOB” with funky percussion to really make the tracks more vibrant. He went off with an array of techno tracks and out-of-this-world light show that blew everyone’s minds. However, some of his transitions weren’t the smoothest with some tracks abruptly stopping but fans didn’t care.ĭillon Francis kept the party going all night at the “Mad Hatter’s Stage”. The “Mad Hatter’s Castle” had the fortunate luxury of being at the racecourse half of the NOS Event Center. The 2 biggest stages were on opposite sides of the event making for a long walk to get to “Mad Hatter’s Castle” from “Queen’s Domain,” but boy it was worth it. Again all whimsical themes with some being hidden inside domes. Of course, Insomniac went all out for the 6 stages. Lyle sat and chatted with strangers in real life as well and yours truly got on the mic to do a quick beatbox cipher. This year, Insomniac celebrated 30 years of putting on the spectacle known as Beyond Wonderland. ![]() For much of his life, Habibi alternated between studying in the Afghan capital and returning to the battlefields of his native Maidan Wardak province, before he was rounded up and sent to the notorious Bagram prison for more than four years. Put simply, he comes off like most other 31-year-olds in Kabul, and with good reason. He speaks in quiet, measured tones even when he’s on about something he’s absolutely sure of, like the justice of the Taliban’s 20-year fight against Western occupation. The 31-year-old deputy director of economic cooperation at the Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs-one of the men most responsible for attracting foreign investment to a pariah state under a pile of international sanctions and opprobrium-eschews the fire and brimstone that characterize most Taliban harangues. Once he starts talking, though, a different man emerges. Physically, he looks every bit the stereotypical Taliban fighter, and he knows it. His black turban and traditional perahan tunban outfit are accessorized with an AK-47 that hangs from his shoulder. The march against Monsanto and Syngenta in Basel was supported by more than 50 organisations from Switzerland and Germany, including Basel unions, the Green Party, and environmental, agricultural and development organisations such as Greenpeace, Uniterre and SWISSAID.* “Today, we protest in solidarity with smallholders in China and the rest of the world.” “Syngenta is now Chinese but that does not mean that our resistance against the business practice of Syngenta stops now,” said Ueli Gähler from Multiwatch. Altogether, the three companies would control over 60% of the commercial seed and pesticide market. In addition to the planned acquisition of Syngenta by ChemChina and the merger of Dow and Dupont, Bayer plans to take over Monsanto. This year the main focus of the protest was the increasing market power in the agrochemical industry. Syngenta is currently caught up in legal battles over its farming of GM crops in Hawaii and is planning to sell its operations in the state. She said: “Syngenta must finally take responsibility for the health problems in Hawaii.” In front of the Syngenta headquarters, Fern Rosenstiel, an environmental scientist from Kauai, Hawaii, spoke about the use of highly toxic pesticides – pesticides that are banned in Switzerland – on Syngenta test fields in Hawaii. ![]() The demonstration ended at the Syngenta headquarters and was accompanied by street artists, musicians, and children dressed as bees. They demanded an ecological and diverse agriculture which serves food security instead of profit. Two thousand people turned out to demonstrate against toxic pesticides, GMOs, and patents on seeds. Brainwashed and Crazy: Ellder and Aldon, in their respective journeys, must face possessed Elites from that region's warriors as their first major fight. He pulls a sword and starts swiping if you get too close to him. Bow and Sword in Accord: Ellder's first boss is a possessed Wood Elf Elite Ranger, who rapidly fires arrows while moving back.Boss Rush: Gladiator mode pits the player against bosses and elite units (who typically take at least one life to take down in Story mode) with only one life (but refilling health between fights). Why? Because he wanted to find one to kill. Blood Knight: Toldor's final boss is a Giant Troll.Blade on a Stick: Halberdiers, with their Halberds, can deal hefty damage from a long distance, but they are slow.He fights by raining fireballs from the sky and hurling them at one's face. Big Damn Heroes: Aldon jumps out and blocks Toldor's surprise attack on Ellder.BFS: Toldor's weapon is the slow, but long and powerful, "longsword".Anti-Villain Protagonist: Toldor has Revenge as a motivation to go after Ellder but the game makes it clear that the High Elves he's attacking and terrorizing are not possessed. This is particularly notable against the Elite Ranger, whose sword skills aren't that good compared to most bosses and ends up as little more than a pinata. The game is available with all of its features at Kongregate. The game also includes a Survival mode and a Gladiator mode, in which you must face, in sequence, a number of powerful opponents. Playing each character constitutes an "Episode", and while each Episode does not necessarily have to be played in order, all three must be completed before you can go on to Episode Four and complete the story. The player takes control of Ellder, a Night Elf Whirler Aldon, Prince of the Men of the West (Swordsman), or Toldor, an Orc Longswordsman. It's just a flesh wound! On another note (referring to video 2), I did not know that detect magic would work on all party members.I used to drag all of the items I suspected were magical to my caster with detect magic and then use the spell, so that was handy to see a confirmation that this isn't necessary. It seems a bit over powered that you can detonate a spell in mid air at precisely the right height, but I used a fireball spell with the elevation tool to wipe out flying enemies that were far off the ground. I posted an image for reference to show what I mean. As long as the teal squares appear over the enemy (or under) I believe it will hit those targets. When you select the spell (shatter as you used in the video), press that button in the middle of the compass and use the up arrow (or mouse wheel - seems mouse wheel down increase height) to change the elevation for a spell to some space off the ground. ![]() ![]() I just finished watching this video I'm still learning the game and on my first playthrough (currently level 7), but you can use the elevation tool in the middle of the compass to have area of effect spells target and detonate a place in the air. ![]() Clear the secret passage of Soraks, return to Caer Cyflen and advise council of Sorak presence, journey to the Manacalon Library/Mage Tower ![]() ![]() Our MSP says that Cylance is best of breed, next gen, AI learning solution, and that any tools that are as good as it are going to have the same types of issues with false positives.
